Commission: Draenei Paladin

...From World of Warcraft, of course. This is probably the commission that most people have wanted to see.

This one took a while to finish, but finish it we did. She's made of light blue flannel and dark blue fleece. Her horns have wire in them so they can be bent into place somewhat. Her four tentacle thingies also have wire in them, so they're poseable, and the gold bands are made of bias tape. Her shirt is made of black and white jersey knit, painted vinyl, and metallic bias tape. Her skirt is made of metallic bias tape, red quilter's suede, white linen, grey cotton, and gold tissue lame. Her hooves are black vinyl. Her gloves are black jersey knit and black vinyl.

Her belt is removable, and made of gold-painted vinyl with craft gems and a plastic rose button that I found in our huge Miscellaneous Stuff bag. Her shoulder pads are painted black vinyl with gold chain and a gold-painted, balsa wood dagger on each one. The cape is black satin, and comes off and on - it attaches to the shoulder pads with hooks and eyes. She has a magnet in one hand to hold her book, which is made of fuseable pellon for the paper (hush, it worked!) and cardstock/scrapbook paper for the rest, with a ribbon bookmark.

And the sword. The sword is awesome. My dad carved it out of balsa wood, and I painted it. There's a magnet in the sword, and one stuck to the doll's back, so it attaches there like in the back shot on the bottom row.

All in all, I think this one came out wayyy better than we could have hoped.
